Acceptable Use Policy

Where these rules apply

This policy forms part of the Terms of Service for Photo Text Editor at phototexteditor.org. It applies to the images you upload, the edits you request and the results you use or share.

Free tools process images in your browser without uploading them. AI text replacement, text removal and image translation require sign-in and send images to our servers to generate results. Signed-in users get free AI edits each day with watermarked previews. See the pricing page for the current allowance and one-time credit packs. We do not sell subscriptions. Waffo Pancake processes purchases, and you must be at least 18 years old to buy a pack.

Permission to edit

Only upload images you own or have permission to edit.

A publicly available image is not automatically free to reuse. Get permission to use another person's image, identity or private information where required.

Deceptive edits and other prohibited uses

Do not use Photo Text Editor to:

  • Forge or alter identity documents, passports, licenses or certificates to misrepresent someone's identity, age, status or qualifications.
  • Change receipts, invoices, tickets or payment records to deceive someone about a purchase, payment, amount or entitlement.
  • Alter contracts, signatures or other agreements to misrepresent what someone agreed to.
  • Fabricate or change screenshots, messages or other images and present them as authentic evidence of events that did not happen.
  • Impersonate someone or use edited images to mislead viewers about who said or did something.
  • Create or share unlawful, threatening, harassing or hateful material, sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors or intimate images without consent.
  • Infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights, or create images for scams or phishing.
  • Bypass access controls, abuse free AI allowances or credits, or disrupt the service.

When sharing an edited image, disclose the changes where needed to avoid misleading viewers. Label AI edits where the law requires it. You remain responsible for how you use the result.

What happens after a breach

If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account and revoke unused credits.

Before taking these actions, we will email you with the reason, the proposed action and how to appeal. Send an appeal to support@phototexteditor.org with your account email and explain why you believe the decision is wrong. We will review the appeal and email you the outcome.

Reports and questions

Report misuse to support@phototexteditor.org. Describe the issue and include the relevant account or edit details.

Do not send passwords, payment card details or unnecessary personal information. Questions about purchases follow the Refund Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. These rules do not limit mandatory consumer rights.

We will post changes to this policy on this page and notify you before material changes take effect.
